So I want to refurbish my side covers...they have a couple small cracks around the screw holes. Should I patch with fiber glass? Where might I find fiber glass?
Also, I turned my 78 police bike into a hard tail, so if anyone wants a pair of rear shocks in great condition let me know.:)

If you have original side covers, they are probably ABS plastic. Don't use fiberglass. What I use for minor repairs on ABS plastics on my bikes is JB Weld. Drys in about a day and is sandable.:) Others on this site will recommend other products.

Seconded on the JB. Applied right, the ABS will break before the JB does.

JB is very sandable, but for cosmetic non-structural surfacing on the exposed side, plain ole bondo works fine on raw ABS.

I'll take you up on the shocks. How much and how far are you? B)
