just took the tank off to take it to a raidator repair shop tommorrow. i'll keep you all posted. as far as the highjacking, me and the missus were both laughing over it. at least i ended up with maryann and not ginger. to answer 4r's question. the gas kinda ate the passenger cover a little.i don't think it can be saved.but hey, keep up with the highjacking, it's all in fun. the wife really liked your work of her alone gris.

Yep, I'd say that side cover is toasted alrighty!

I've never seen gas do that to plastic side covers though. Just how long did the gas leak onto it?
To me, it looks more like battery acid leaked onto it. Something I think that would be worth checking into.
And if I'm not mistaken, that's the right side cover (brake pedal side) and not the left (shifter pedal side) that you posted a pic of.

Oh ya, here's a "new" set of almost identical side covers for ya! 1984 KAWASAKI ZN 700 LTD SIDE COVERS NICE SHAPE
Looks like all you'd need to do would be to swap out the emblems and install 'em on your bike. ;)

In the past month or so I've seen several individual side covers for the ZN's listed that never sold. So maybe check again in a few days to see if the sellers relist them.

Ooooh!
You mean Fabio's lesser know brother, Flabio?

Sorry for the poor pic chop, I don't have photoshop. And obviously my cut-and-paste skills leave a lot to be desired.

Flacido Domingo?
Actually he's a distant cousin to Flabio and Fabio.
And while not as popular as they are, he's certainly well known to some:

180 degrees shy of heaven

Performing with Flacido Domingo

A few parts shy of an erector set

Sch-wing and a miss

Not rising to the level of impeachable offence

The Null Monte

Disappointing Miss Daisy

Taking the gold at the Lake Flaccid Olympics

Ascension Deficit Disorder

Bouncing the Check of Love

Less-than-Magic Johnson

All Doled up with nowhere to go

Welcome to Flaccid City. Population: You

Serving boneless pork

Unleavened Man-Bread
