Don't be looking for no Capt. Stoobbing here! It's Admiral Boob Denver and we are touring Greenland's beautiful coastline while munching blubber tartar and singing elfish sea chanties! Come aboard missy! :pinch: :S

This has been a test...a test of the Emergency PChop Photo Manipulation System. This should not deter you from posting innocent pictures. You are getting sllleeepppyyy! Sleeeppyy! You will post pictures! You will post pictures! When I count to 3 you will awaken refreshed and with an undeniable urge to post pictures!

Oh no you don't! No pics of this boy for you to mess with. I learned back last winter; posted a pic of my bike in the snowy driveway, and "Crash" sends it back parked on a tropical beach.
So anyway Steve, now that your thread is completely hijacked, how's that tank repair coming along?

Dang Steve, sorry to hear that your bikes fuel tank has developed a slight cause of ghoneria. :pinch:  (yah, like no one else thought of saying that
).
In the last 5+ years I've been finding out what is and is not compatible from other Kawi models to the ZN models, unfortunatley it's not a very long list.
However, all the bodywork from a ZN700 is a direct fit to the ZN1100. Granted, the paint sceme and decals might be slightly different.
Heck, recently I just found out that the entire gauge cluster (speedo, tach and fuel) from a ZN1100 will swap onto a ZN700 with absolutely no modifications.
The only differences are that the 1100 speedo tops out at 160mph where the 700 tops out at 150mph, and where the redline begins and ends on the tach is slightly different.
What I'm trying to say is, don't give up hope.
Where there's a will there's a way.![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)
I am curious though why you'd need to replace the left sidecover just because fuel spilled onto it?
The old leaky petcock on my ZN700 had dribbled fuel onto the left sidecover, and it left an ugly 2" long 1/2" stain on the killer paint job that Mark Wing had sprayed on it. :pinch:
Soap and water on a soft cloth had no effect, so I used one of the plastic cleaning products that state they remove swirl marks and fine scratches and can be found at probably every auto parts store around.....it didn't damage the paint/clearcoat and the stain went buh-bye!![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)
Heck, the stuff is only about $4~$5 a bottle. It's a whole lot cheaper (and less of a headache) than trying to locate a pristine sidecover with the exact same paint/decals.
