Help!! Tapered Steering Bearing Install

Yes, you should pack them with grease.

I'v put the seal on, it was some time ago but from memory the seal spread as i rammed the race home.

Do you need the seal? that lower bearing is way up front copping all the crap in the rain etc so I reckin its a necessity

Just a follow up in case anyone needs this thread in the future:

I went ahead an seated the lower race all the way in to the shoulder and the triple trees line up perfectly. There is definitely some space left at the bottom of the neck but that must be the way it's designed.
