ANYONE DO A DUAL CALIPER CONVERSION ON THEIR 500'S? THE TRIPPLE RESOURCE PAGE OFFERS A COUPLE ALTS. JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS TRIED ANY OF THESE.

I've put newer sport bike brakes and rotors on Yamahas XS 650. Havent done the H1 yet.
Heres a set of 6 piston calipers with 320mm rotors on a Yammie

Sven, I milled a standard caliper mount to fit the opposite side and the difference wasn't worth the added weight. You would be better of adapting a modern caliper(EX 500) to it and keeping it single.

i have two sets of ninja(same calipers as the ex500) . on the tripples resource page they give a blue print of the bracket to make them a bolt up . i have access to a brake lathe and have drilled disc's before so can keep the added wieght of the extra rotar to a min.. that and if i can figure out lacing them up i have d.i.d. rims and alloy spokes.just want more braking before i work on the engine.

That's a good idea. I went with mega motor before refining the brakes and handling. I would also suggest the frame bracing, 18" front wheel, new swingarm bushings, and longer shocks. You'd be amazed at how they can actually handle. Ebos sells Tomcat's pipes which I highly recommend.
