motoplast frame 1981 was created by chadams
Hi I bought a motoplast frame kit. I was told it is to suit a z1000. I have measured it up and it all seems to fit.
Does anyone have any information on these frames? I have search the web and only found people with suzuki or laverda motors fitted to them. Any info would be great. Attached is a pic of the frame, I also have a fibreglass tank to suit.

Welcome. Nice score. Don't know anything about them, but reminded me a bit of the Harris framed Z1000 like this one:

Wow, sweetness. Can´t say I know anything about the Motoplast frame, but it looks very similar to the Moto Martin frames - here´s a link to their site (in French unfortunately), click "Kawasaki" in the menu to the left to see some pics:

Thats going to be a sweet bike! keep the pics coming. that frame looks like it can take just about anyting you could possibly throw at it. What mods do you have planned for the motor? big bore turbo monster?

I'm going to use the wiseco big bore kit for the motor.. I'm after torque more then peak power.
The kit I'm looking at is the W-W3957 1393cc 10.25:1
I mild headjob and maybe some gpz1100 cams. I will have to split the case and weld the crank as well.

Wow, man! That frame looks goooooood!
You´re gonna build somehing definitely rad, no doubt about it. Good luck and please keep us posted.
I agree in seeing the Kawabusa (only in pictures though... ) either as an abortion contra-natura or as a super sharp, cool and superb motorcycle... But, who needs a Suzi engine anyway?
I think we can star calling your project the Dukawti, right? :woohoo: :silly: Sorry, couldn´t resist that one, after all it seems a Trellis frame too, don´t you agree?
Cheers.
