Can't mount side cover.

Kz fans,
Just went to put the right side cover on for the first time and found that the, top left, side cove mounting tab is not there. Is there some extension piece I should have. If so the Kawasaki.com parts page doesn’t list it. Please advise

It sounds to me like the tab from the side cover itself has broken off and is MIA - not an uncommon occurence unfortunately.
The best I can suggest is looking at the same tab on the left cover and fabbing up something similar with epoxy or the like, or scanning eBay for another cover.

Don't know what kind of KZ you have, but on mine, the top left grommet for the R/H cover is actually in the tool kit box. It's a plastic piece that sits under the seat and bolts to the battery box (I think).
