kz1000 center stand to chain clearance needed
08 Aug 2026 08:39
After swapping to the 4-1 like many others my center stand is now hitting the chain. I made a quick bracket to stop it but i think under load the chain might still be hitting. Anyone have a stock system to measure the clearance between the center stand and the chain? Many thanks!

Your gap looks good Craig.
My 1000 did not come with a center stand, so can't measure.
As long as your drive chain is not too loose, it should be fine.
The chain should move up and down about an inch, in it's tightest spot when rotating the wheel by hand.
