Hi, i have a problem with the rear caliper on my Z1000A1, i have rebuilt the caliper with new pistons seals and pads, not got any fluid in it yet, the problem is the brake pad on the outer side of the caliper wont fit, the piston is fully in, the pad on the inner (nearest the bleed nipple is loose, its as if the caliper is not central to the disc,am i missing a washer/spacer somewhere ?? , i have fitted the caliper without the pads and tightened the spindle and the wheel moves freely , i have included some photos including the spindle and spacers that were on the bike when i got it.
Thanks

Not missing any spacer that would affect centering of disc to caliper. But as You mentioned, disc is indeed too far..out. Kinda remember you're using those old Henry Abe mags. Totally possible the disc carrier specs are out of wack. Might have to rectify that. If that's not the source note i've seen my share of these that have been hit and subsequently bent.

Might just be the pic but the calliper looks “clocked”. To the left slightly?? Is the distance from the piston to the disc uniform top and bottom?

Hi, i have put a washer on the spindle between the spacer and the caliper ,it has pushed the caliper a little bit to the right so now i can get the pads in, they are a little tight on the disc but the wheel moves ok, i need to measure and get a washer/shim to fit, maybe as been said the Henry Abe wheel must be slightly different to the original wheel.

Thanks
