Centre stand.

I have this KZ1000G, and when these things were made all the way back in 1980, the powers that be thought it would be a great idea to put the fitting arangement welded to the frame but not actually fit the centre stand to it. This gives me the dilema that if and when i need to remove the wheels fpr what ever reason, i can't. My question is, can i get one for this bike, and what type. Its not going to stay on it as it want fit because of the exhausts, i just want to use it as a paddock stand. Any ideas.

Given that you would need to bolt it on every time, wouldn't it be easier to just use a paddock stand ? (main stands seem to attract good money these days)

Same issue on my KZ1000.
No center stand.
I find this little red stand works well.
The two lifting points are adjustable, have rubber topped flats.
I have different length threaded rod to use the stand on other bikes.
It's currently holding the bike up below, by the center stand mounts, althought she never came with a center stand.

Here, holding the front end up, wheel off:

I did the same addition of coupling nuts and threaded studs to allow it to clear my exhaust header.

Wookie58, a paddock stand dosnt fit, the exhaust gets in the way, and im not taking them of just to check the chain etc.

Rstnick, i have seen those stands before, so i might give that a try. I have found a stand for sale from z power in the uk, but he wants 200quid for them. Yeah i think i'll give one of those a try.
