Fairing

Good afternoon from Aus🇦🇺,
project near complete, I’m turning my kz1000st into a ELR tribute,
I want to put a fairing on & my question is would a Z1R fit as the ST has a 7” headlight,
the EMGO style doesn’t fit unless I get new bars, master cylinder, shorter cables etc etc,
I am also leaning to a ‘STONE’ style as well, it’s just I haven’t seen a ST with a front fairing

Have you got a picture of the front of the bike, showing the headlight?

My 1978 KZ650 has a 7 inch headlight.
I bought a cheap eBay fairing.
This seller had many different color combo with different windshield colors too.
Mine painted blue to match, with yellow windshield.

 

 
 

7" is a standard size for kz 4-cylinder models and 750-Twins. 

Maier makes a fairing with a round headlight opening that closely resembles the styling of the KZ1000/1100 ELR/SBR bikes. They are quality ABS plastic and may or may not come with a mounting kit. The downside is that the gasket between the fairing and windscreen is not included and is made of pure unobtainium and is not available...unless you sweet-talk someone who has an extra one.
