Kz750b twin centre stand spring

Hi , I just bought a centre stand for my 1976 kz750 b twin , and I now need a spring but I don't know the length. It is listed as a 34023-017 but it's not made anymore. I have a spring I thought was right , it's 107mm long. But the distance between the mounting points is 160mm when up and 190mm when down , that seems quite a bit to stretch a 107mm spring. Perhaps the spring is correct and it stretches, I do know they are difficult to fit ( spread with pennies/ slide down a screwdriver/ fit spring and then install stand ), Any help would be appreciated.
