My 2003 Ford Windstar is looking and running a bit rough. I'm concidering replacing it with another minivan. Something around $5,000 and around 10 years old.
Which mini van has the tallest lift gate opening. The Windstar is only 39", which has been a challange getting motorcycles in and out.
Do to family outtings and poor gas milage, I don't want a full size work van.

It sounds like you want a Ford Transit Connect.

I use a Nissan NV200 7 seater for race weekends.
Just about long enough for my bikes.
Very tight with 2 bikes inside and also on the limit for maximum weight.
But it’s usable as family car and fuel consumption is ok.

Or you can track down a BraunAbility van.
They use them as taxis for wheelchairs here in nyc.
You could find a old taxi but it may have crazy mileage and destroyed suspension.
