Foot Pegs
02 May 2024 06:30
Hi Folks,
This question concerns a KZ1100A1- Shaft:
I am looking to change foot peg height and make it lower. I gave up on any rear shift as it seems too onerous.
the stock pegs have a huge ribbed rubber sleeve encapsulating the steel peg. It is too high and there is plenty of room to drop the elevation relative to the pivot and the steel peg. Has anyone put Goldwing pegs on or something similar where the top surface the foot rests on is as low as possible relative to the pivot?

Worth bearing in mind that lowering the pegs will most likely reduce cornering clearance (don't know how excitable you are

No, you didn’t understand my post. The stock pegs have a large (thick, tall) ribbed rubber sleeve. This can be lowered without reducing cornering clearance.

Have you tried flipping them upside down? The rubber looks thinner on the bottom. I suppose you could go after them with a hacksaw and slice those puppies down close to the metal.
Also, you could rip off the rubber and paint the metal with some bed liner material.

Pretty clever-I’ll try it. I ordered a pair of eBay Huyabusa $10 pegs anyway.
The Moto Guzzi guys’ trick is Goldwing pegs and the U-bracket is the same width on many bikes.
thanks
