Looking to space apart the distance of the front forks to accept a wider (ZX6E) front wheel.  Does anyone know if there is a triple tree\stem setup that is wider apart that will hold the stock forks? (And , for the record, I do realize I can swap the entire front end to a ZX^).  Just would like to keep my front stock forks.

If you can find a set with the spacing you want but intended for thicker forks you can sleeve the trees with "split bushes"

What’s the diameter of the fork tubes you’re trying to keep/use?

I’m not positive but I think the early police bikes had wider triple tree, I know they had a wider front tire/wheel.

Also don't forget if you "mix and match" wheels and forks there will probably be other challenges to overcome such as speedo Drive, brake spacing, headlamp mounts etc

They are stock KZ1000, so 38mm.  They are freshly chromed and in excellent shape.  Would just like to run a wider front wheel that matches the rear I'm going to use.
