Hi!
Does anyone know what chassis, other than the original 77 Kz750 twin chassis, I could transfer the 750 to with no fabrication/modification? I recently found rust holes at the bottom of the chassis so I’m riding a death trap.

thanks!

I suspect you may be overly optimistic with the above request

Probably any KZ750-Twin frame.  The engine was pretty much unchanged throughout the 76-84 model run, including the kick starter.  From the cross-reference at partzilla they all had the same crankcase set.

steel and bountyhunter know a lot about the KZ Big Twins, so their old posts can be helpful. I haven't seen either on here in quite a while.

Rust on the bottom rails is very common due to water ingress through partially welded joints especially under the rear shock mount gussets etc.
Any good welder who knows his stuff should be able to section out the rotten areas and replace with new steel to make the frame as good or better than new and also identify and seal any partially open factory welds to prevent it happening again.
Ideally have the bare frame blasted to reveal the true extent of corrosion then have it powdercoated after repair.

Any used frame you might purchase may be well advanced in the same process of rusting, and may have other surprises waiting for you. Repairing what you have may be the best solution.
