Brake Parts? was created by sflesch94
Hi Guys, I need all your expertise. I ordered a nice OEM style front master and with putting on straight bars, I have interference and cant use it. Does anyone know of a GOOD quality aftermarket master that would have a connection facing the front of the bike? I reluctantly only found and ordered one off Amazon, and I found the casing cracked when I started filling! Scary!!

Another side note, does anyone know where you can get these caliper spacers? I am rebuilding calipers and have one that is cracked. I found all other parts I need at Brakecrafters.

Thanks!!

I see no one has replied to your post and I may not be much help but I'm running drag bars on my LTD, at 28 inches wide it's tough to fit everything.
My master cylinder is about a 1/4" from hitting the tach. If I were you I'd try to rebuild your stock master if you have it, you can also try to tweak the mounting angle of your handlebars to get more clearance.

As for the caliper spacer/inboard brake pad retainer I may have one you can have.

The rectangular reservoir type EX650 masters work well, assuming you have a dual disc front brake setup.  eBay has loads of them.

I actually ended up finding a replacement CB750 master that is 5/8" bore and has a front connection. If you do have the spacer piece I would really appreciate it. I can only find it at Johnnys Vintage for $40USD. I am located in Toronto, Canada. Let me know how much you would want for it and I can e-transfer you. Thanks!

Both Z-power  www.z-power.co.uk/z900a4-kz900b1-ltd-197...pad-holder-plate-004 . And Z-fever  z-fever.de/shop/en/product_info.php?info..._spacer-caliper.html . Say they are out of stock but I’d email them. They might be able to dig one up.
