KZ900 Rear Brake Upgrade was created by mark3592
Hello,

I’m currently building a KZ900 that I acquired.   I’m going to add an extended Swingarm, probably around 4” .   I’m wanting to eliminate the caliper brake arm to clean up the look & not have the interference of larger tire.   I’m wondering if anyone has done that possibly with Brembo disc & caliper kits.

One member solution. You will also have to weld on a mount for a rear master cylinder, unless you use custom rear sets with the MC attached.

I installed a Suzuki GS1100 swingarm, '77-'78 rear brake rotor and caliper, and a KZ rear brake master cylinder on my 1973 Z1-900.  I made a mount for the rear brake master cylinder that bolted on the thick aftermarket right engine mount.
