I have a 1977 kz1000 a ,18" spoke hub.on one side it has a steel ring pressed on ?? (Where the spokes go into)
can it be removed ? So it can be polished or rechromed ??

Here’s the hub. I’ve never tried but I would not. I’m gonna say anything is possible but to index it back on correctly so the spokes and rim could be trued would be a nightmare. It also has to be secure to the hub to retain the rim. I highly recommend you don’t.
Id contact a plater and ask if it could be done without removing it. They are hard to fine so don’t Willy Nilly destroy it.
