Does anybody know if a 650 SR seat might fit on a 750 H Ltd ?
At first glance, the frame don't look to different to me in terms of shape. The 750 might be slightly wider.
Cheers

70s KZ650D-SR. My eyeballs say no. The hinges don't line up, plus the latch to rear hinge alignment is different.
Are you looking for a flatter seat or what?

If you mean CSR, then the KZ650-CSR frame & seat are the same as the 750H w the 1-piece seat; the 1980 750-H1 had an unusual 2-piece seat.

No, I am definitely talking about the SR and yes, looking for something flatter !
I kinda like the SR seat style and since I found one for cheap near where I live, I was considering trying the swap.

The SR seat hinges are way forward compared to a C series 650.  If you buy the seat and it doesn't fit I will take it.  I have an SR that needs a seat.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Maybe look into a 750E seat. It's not ironing board flat but still flatter than the Ltd but is shaped to fit around a taillight cover & you may already know that. doh.

ps: EB daytrader-07 out of vietnam makes repro seats w powder-coated metal seat pans. one for the 750H is listed that's very similar in appearance to the SR. he provides a pic of the pan that was used as a template. shape of the seat kind of looks like the foam may not be very thick, though.

Thank you for the link Martin, it does look close. I will investigate.
As for the SR seat, I won't buy it in the end, after seeing pictures of the seatpan which is completely rusty...
I live in France Hardrockminer, the shipping would have cost you more than the seat itself :D

Already mentioned, but most standard model seats are shaped to fit around a ducktail or rear cowl, including the 750E, so the fit won't be great on your motorcycle in that regard. I thought maybe that's why you were looking into the SR seat.  I think the E seat might fit as the frame is very similar to the 750H & the seats look similar on the underside. but the opening at the rear won't look right.
