KZ1000 CSR/GSXR fork swap

Hi guys, I have a 81 KZ1000 CSR that I want to swap forks with a GSXR but here's the thing. I want to keep my original spoke wheel. Figured I'd need to make a custom axle/spacer witch I can get the machining done pretty easily. My main concern is with the calipers/disks.. keep them stock? Use the GSXR brakes?   Any of you guys have done this? Thanks!

Don't forget there is the speedo drive to consider also
