Rear rim aligment was created by alzo
Hi guys,

How do you setup rear rim alignment if you buy new rim and spokes?
Old rear tire is not available.
I know that frond should be in center alignment.
I couldn't find any data in the manual about rear rim/hub offset.

Thanks.

By alzo:  Old rear tire is not available.

Dunlop motorcycle tires lists the D404 110/90-18 for the KZ650B rear wheel.
This may not be a very good tire, but you should be able to find a different tire elsewhere.
Bridgestone Battlax BT46 for example.

edit:  if you can't find the correct stock size tire, use a motorcycle tire cross-reference to find a suitable close match. or search your motorcycle model on the tire mfgs websites.

The hub should be centered.  It will naturally move to this position when you lace the wheel and tighten the spokes.  Use a spoke torque wrench to ensure consistent torque around the wheel.  Check the runout and adjust spokes if necessary.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
