Had the restored picture been put up in the first post my criticism would have been different, 50k still very steep, but end result is nicely restored and rare Z2.

A rare motorcycle, or any other object, is worth exactly what somebody is willing to pay for it. What anybody else thinks of the price is irrelevant.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

There was a fairly small market for them back in the day, so there aren't nearly as many out there as Z1's. If you look on Japan websites they go for premium prices. I once thought of buying one to restore until I saw the prices.
