I have successfully replaced the OEM handlebar on 1987 KZ305B with EMGO "Chrome 7/8 in Yamaha XS1/XS2 650 Style handlebar" 23-12548. It is a bit shorter then OEM but gives better angles for hands. The control area is specified as 7", which is a bit short and seems to be not enough on paper but KZ305 controls fit with no problem with (very) little room to spare. I had to drill one 4mm hole to the right control assembly key at 6 1/4" from the end. It was easy to do. The knurling on the handlebar is just in the right place - centers of the clamps. The OEM turn signals fit nicely and do not interfere with the gas tank with comfortable margins.

Overall it is a good alternative to the OEM handlebar, which is hard to get in any condition.
