Pic request- 74 kz400 battery box

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I’ve been slowly reassembling a 74 kz400 barn find. It was in pieces when I got it.  And missing some parts. One thing that was missing was the battery box.  I got one on eBay that was listed as having been off of a 1974 kz400.  It seems like it fits, but I’m stumped on how it mounts.  I feel like maybe I’m missing some pieces or something.  There’s really no bolt holes in the box.  

Google images has left me high and dry.  Can someone share a pic of how the dang thing mounts?  I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you looked at the parts diagram to see if you have all of the pieces shown?

Thanks for the reply.  I have been looking over that diagram and don’t see that I am missing and integral parts. But it’s possible (likely) that I’m wrong. I gotta be missing something

Does your battery box look like the one in the diagrams?  And also the frame? 

The best I can tell, the battery box has 2 studs on the RH side that line up with two mounting holes on the frame; it seems like the mounts ought to have a couple of dampers or grommets. LH side of battery box has 1 stud w damper >> probably fits into frame bracket #27.  last bit edited.

My goodness… I think you got me on the right track now.  I think I was so distracted looking at the battery box in the partzilla diagram that I failed to look at everything else thoroughly.  

yes the box I have looks like the one in the pic and mounts with the 2 studs on the RH side like you said.  I’m going to order that bracket and the grommet for it (#28) right from partzilla.  Nice and cheap.  

thanks for providing a second set of eyes. I knew it had to be pretty obvious but I just wasn’t seeing it.  

First go around, I missed that LH bracket as well & didn't see it on any frames listed on EB. 
After another look at the diagram, there are 2 dampers for that bracket, but I didn't see any listed on EB. #28 in the drawing.

If your battery box is missing the #43 dampers (Qty = 6), you could probably go with sheet rubber as padding for the battery.
The battery cases I saw on EB still had those dampers, so maybe yours does too.
