77 front brake caliper oem part number was created by Fabrique au Japon
Hello,
I have a 77 kz1000- (Sept 76).
The bike is missing the front caliper and needs replaced. I've found the OEM part number I need is 43041-029. Is this correct?
Is there any calipers from Kawasaki in different years or models that cross with the kz1000-A ? The price for these brand new is quite expensive. I will accept a used one that is operational. Currently on Ebay there is one that I think is correct for $129 includes the mount bolts and brake hose. Anybody have one to sell for less?

Is this one right? I'm not certain, but it looks possible.

Also, if that pair of vise-grips is crushing the rubber brake line, you should probably replace that entire line as well. Crushing the line like that could damage the line and cause it to fail. Brake lines are not garden hose.

Agreed on the vice grip collapsing the brake line and future failure. I plan on replacing it. Thankyou for the answers recieved.
