Early Z1 Frame Value Questions
06 Mar 2022 06:36
I have an early Z1 frame with title I'd like to sell and could use some advice on what price to put on it. I know it could vary greatly just looking for a ballpark figure, I also have the forks that came off the bike. Frame # Z1F20024. A member here seems interested or should I put it on ebay? Just looking to get a fair price for something that doesn't come along too often these days. Thanks for any input!

Z1 frame numbers went to 20,000. Your frame is a very early Z1A. The month of manufacture is gone from the sticker but I can guess it was July. The year is 1973.
The frame might have interest for people with an early Z1A engine so that they could "match" numbers. Or it might be of interest to someone who doesn't care about matching numbers. I'm going to throw out a number of $1,000 for the frame and maybe $500 for the forks. I have a set of forks completely rebuilt that I think would fetch $750 if I wanted to sell them.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Interesting! What is that triangular patch just above "lbs" on the sticker? I assumed that's where the month was printed but that it got wiped out somehow.

Month is always on the label All you have to do is lookup similar VINs on the database for the build date.
