In my personal experience 320 grit would be a much better choice to hone if needed. To hone or not is a highly debated subject. For the most part honing is not recommended for a master cylinder. If it’s pitted then more than likely it’s trash. Having it re-sleeved is the best option for a trash unobtainable M/C.

EDIT; Beyond the options listed by DOHC, here is another I’m familiar with

The C and D bikes both use the same rear master cylinder.  The D version is known as the 650 SR.  I have one.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Not sure if this will be of any help to you or not.  Many years ago, not sure how many but if would to guess was 10 or more, I pulled down the following info from the Kawasaki site of the part numbers of the master cylinders used on the 650s, and what other models they were used on,

When the piston is stuck tight, it's very unlikely that you will find a clean bore.  And you can't hone out pits, unless they are very shallow.

You might want to look for something like a ninja 300 master, and then adapt it to fit your bike.  You can pick one up for less than $20 off ebay.

I should have been a little clearer.  When I said I have one I meant that I have the entire bike.  It's a D1 that I'm currently rebuilding it, about 75% done.  I don't have a spare MC.
