Wheel swap
13 Oct 2021 07:34
Hey fellas a quick question, I am in New York now where I have a 68 KZ650 Sr and a 69 KZ650 XR and I'm heading back this week to Florida where I have a 81 KZ1000 m CSR. The question is will the wheels from my 650s fit on 1000? Thank you in advance for any correct advice.

Until someone who has done it chimes in.
Probably not direct swap. From the diagrams at Partzilla the wheel bearings are different sizes indicating that the axles are different.
The SR has a larger Fr axle but smaller Rr axle. Another consideration is will the brake disks line up. I don't know.
My guess is that the wheels might could be made to fit with some work such as swapping bearings n stuff, but that is just a guess.

68 and 69? I think you mean 78 and 79.
Smaller cc"s, smaller axles and bearings. Will not fit.
Compare parts on sites like Partzilla. Find the oem part (wheel bearing, axle, etc) click on part number, the see where its used on other years and models.
