Front fender Q

Simple question. Does 18 inch wheel fender, such as GPz, fit on top of 19 inch wheel? I know the contour not going to match but will it physically fit?

Reason is that I may fit 18inch later down the line. And my original front fender is far from nice. Problem is the brackets that hold the fender to the fork. It's in really bad shape. It will fit on the fork, but does not look good at all. Been looking for the fenders on evilbay, but most of them are bent, just like mine.

Anybody have any experience on this?

I put a 17" fender on an 18" wheel on another project recently. I had to shim the fender up slightly. When I put an 18" wheel under a 19" fender recently, it looked kinda odd, but it's my Mrs' bike & she likes it...

Sorry, I got nothing definite for you.

I find the mounting holes are usually in a different spot, and sometimes need to drilled.

I've got a stock 19" front fender on in this picture, with an 18" front wheel:

And here with a GPz750 front fender, 18" wheel.
Fender is wider and needs to be squeezed to fit, also new mounting holes drilled to lower it:

Thanks for the pic and advice guys.

Guess I'll try and find out. At worst, I can either drill new hole or make some kind of bracket to raise up just a little.
