Wheel straightening service??
07 Dec 2020 08:50
Guys, I need your help. I bought some tires from a reputable on line company, and had them mounted & balanced by the same company. My Astralite wheels were (slightly) damaged in the process.
Where would you send your wheels for repair?

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

First let me say that the damage should be repaired by the company that did the damage. Further, not sure that amount of damage would bother me other than being pissed at myself for not installing them myself. But that is just me.
Having said all of that, though I have not made use of this service, I have read good things about this place and the pics and videos they show are impressive.

Wow, I'd be pissed. are those wheels anodized? The first set of spoked wheels I ever built i took to a local shop to have some tires mounted and they gouged the crap out of the freshly powder-coated rim. They tried to tell me it was existing damage and told me to go piss up a rope. Now I mount all my own tires.

You can probably repair that using a piece of hardwood and a mallet. Protect the rim with masking tape and unseat the tire from that area.
