Anyone have a rusted, ugly grab bar for cheap? I need one that I can paint the all blacked out project.
Thanks.

I have one, I’ll post pictures after work today. There is a “V” notch at the flattened area that mounts to the shock upper mount. I think they did it to clear aftermarket shocks. It can be welded up if your painting it. Won’t be offended if you don’t want it.

Hi Matt, I'm sure it will work! I'm a welder and a painter! "Jack of all trades" "Master of none"!
Let me know how much to get it here?
No hurry Matt, I won't be painting for at least 3-4 weeks. I have a set of Harley Tanks to do black also. Still working on them too.
Stay in touch. Hopefully that damper shows up to you?
This Post Office thing got political! I'm still waiting on a side cover from Mike in Nebraska. Mike sent it out with my pre made label on 8-8. Tracking says it's delayed, but in system.
Which just reminded me. I can send you a file for a pre-paid Priority Mail label, if you have a printer that can print it? would just need the box dimensions and weight.

Ok I’m a pay forward guy. You helped me kinda :silly:, you stiffed me for $2.34 on shorted postage for the damper. I got home Monday and postman had a note on my door saying your cheap buddy didn’t pay us enough postage. Please bring $2.34 and this note to the P.O. to claim your item. :P ;) :S.

I’ll head home this evening and find a box to pack it in, and get back with ya.

The story is true but we’re good no reparations needed! Don’t take this the wrong way please.

Cleaned up really nice. Not a single heavy scratch. A little surface rust around the mounting boss. What a shame it use to be owned by Bubba! I couldn’t figure out what to do with it so it going to a good home if you accept?

Hi Matt, Yes, of course! Just send me weight and dimensions of box. And I will email you a USPS priority mail label that you can print. Pre-paid by me, addressed to me! I see we have been missing each other with messages. But! Damn Post office politics! I have finally seen info after 17 days, I sent MIke a label on 8-2, for the side cover that Mike in Nebraska sent me. Gee? After I filed a missing complaint at my local PO. Imagine that? It appeared in Buffalo's Main PO overnight. It says out for delivery today. I think the rail will look good on an all blacked out cycle! Just piecing this one together.

Hi Matt! Forgot to mail you. Bar came and is so nice, I'll leave it chrome. But? Yes for the Red Neck Engineering? I'll give them credit! The cut lines were nice and clean! I got this simple look going. I am going to take apart and rake frame this winter. Plus, paint before winter sets in. I put another $20 1978 KZ400 18" rim for front. Did another disc project. I took the 1C rotors I had and ground them down to 5mm from the single 7mm. size. Ben Beasly ( He still makes fiberglass parts) sent me an old school Z1 18" drag bike fender! Stuff all looks good together, I cut back the tail light bracket in 1/2 and re-welded it to tuck in. And My luck! The way the sprockets are! The bike came with a 13 tooth counter shaft already! I was going to downsize it. Already was. 4 gears in the 1/8 mile! The chain adjusters are all the way forward tight! I'll have to down the rear to take advantage of that extra inch of swing arm. Thats what I wanted the GS arm for to bring wheel back a little more. I'll take care of it. Here's a couple pics. Sorry to babble on!

Hope your moving along on your stuff. I just tinker with with stuff. Regular life comes first...

But Thanks again for the part.

Marty. Funny you posted today, I just had a memory flash wondering if you received the bar. I was really disappointed when I removed the shock nut and the large washer and found the cuts. It was a really nice stay but for the hack. Happy to pay it forward.

I love seeing the GS 1100 e swings arm. Along with the ‘76 900 project, I’m gathering parts for my next custom build. Using a ‘77 Ltd 1000 frame with the 1100 e swing arm and a ZX9R front end that Billet Bike Bits is making a custom triple tree for the conversion.

Agains thank you for the donation to the site in my name... Good luck on your projects.
