82 kz1100 A2 fuel tank

Does anyone know if a 82 kz1100 specter gas tank would fit a 82 kz1100A2 shaft?


I thought the kz1000 gas tank would fit but now that I got a seat the kz1000 is 1-2 inches to short

Here is my issue

Did you ever get this figured out? Looks pretty rad except for the space between the tank and the seat. Does the tank sit well there? Is it secure? 

I've got a KZ1100 A2 and have exhausted all options for repairing a porous tank and am searching for solutions. Let me know if you have found any.  A2 tanks are nowhere to be found
