I'm looking at buying a 1980 kz550 LTD ...I want to make it hard tail bobber bike ..I see they make a hardtail kit for the following

KAWASAKI KZ400 / KZ440 1971 - 1983 HARDTAIL REAR FRAME SECTION MK71

Is this the same frame as a 1980 kz550 LTD

A 440 is a Twin, so the frame is different. Do you know how to weld? Is this your first motorcycle or what? Thanks.

It must be his first, otherwise he would be aware of the fact that hardtails handle like crap. :S Ed
