'79 KZ650-C Tire Question

Hi All:

My '79 KZ650-C has an 18" rear wheel with a 4.00 / 18 tire and rear disc; will a 16" wheel with a 4/00 / 16 tire and rear disc from an '82 KZ750 Spectre work on this? Seems I remember my '78 KZ650-B2A had a 16 inch rear wheel, although it was a drum. Front is a 3.25 / 19 with dual discs. Thanks!

Who knows, but why on Earth would you want to do that to the bike? :blink: BTW, the KZ650-B2A came with an 18" spoke (not cast like the C models) rear wheel. Ed

I don't know if a shaft drive rear wheel will work on a chain drive model, but I would guess not. just a guess.
A chain drive rear wheel will probably be a better fit. closest match is probably a 70s 650-SR. A 750H Ltd might also work.
The 650B came stock with an 18" Rr.
