what is the outlined part on the 1984 kz550. ?
It doesnt show up in the manual

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIt may be that the 80-81 550A footpeg/muffler stays are built into the frame >> the diagram drawing kind of shows them.
I checked a number of diagrams & didn't see the stays listed anywhere for the 550A. The ad linked below shows them as part of the frame.

The '81 LTD version has it. Or one similar.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
