Tire recommendation
28 Jan 2020 12:36
I'm looking for a good recommendation for white raised lettering tires, maybe Dunlop, for my '78 KZ650. And are they 19" front, 18" rear? FYI I live in a beach environment and the salt air dry-rots them fairly quick. Perhaps I need a special quality rubber? Thanks in advance.

White letter tires are going to be a challenge. Bridgestone has a front that will fit your bike but no rear. Dunlap maked RWL tires but no sizes to fit.

I've been using Pirelli Sport Demon tires on my 1977 KZ650 for 11 years (I'm on my 3rd set). They work GREAT! In the past I've used various Michelins and various Dunlops, but the Pirelli's work best. They do not come with raised white letters, but if you buy a pen you can make them look that way. Ed

There is seriously a permanent ink pen that people use on their tires to simulate manufacturer's lettering? I'd need an artist to write it, lol. I've no penmanship.

Just trace the existing print on the sidewall

Continental ClassicAttack motorcycle tires have white lettering plus a checkerboard pattern that's kind of neat.
