I want to mount a set of Lockheed CP 2696 calipers on my 83KZ 1000 J. My question is: I need to find a disk that will accommodate this swap without looking much different than original. I’d like to maintain the look of the original. I was told vn1500 front discs and also KZ 1000 police discs
Has anyone tried anything similar to this?

I used a lot of the PMC parts...no problems with ordering or receiving from them.

Thanks Doc. I’ve dealt with them before they are a little out of my budget right now though

Whats wrong with your stock rotors? I've made Lockheed replicas work with the stock KZ rotors. I'm not sure how it would play out on the J model but on my KZ750 twin I made a small rotor spacer with a custom caliper mount. worked good.

Hey Doc that front end looks beautiful Problem is I’m running Lockheed‘s and they have a big bleeder screw on the backside that will contact the inner spoke of my factory seven spoke wheels.

Thanks Doc. The picture was taken during a fork conversion on my GS1100es. The calipers are Spondon, the wheels are Astralite and the rotors are a Sandy Kosman creation., and forks from a GSXR1100
