GPz750A wheels.
09 Sep 2019 13:15
Hi All.
Had the GPz750A on the road for a month or so now & pretty much loving it, but now starting to get some ideas together for a winter tidy up.
The motor seems pretty good & I think I have the carbs about right (jetting & balanced) so the biggest job this time will be getting the frame & wheels stripped & painted/coated.
I do have the PS magazine detail for a ZX6 rear wheel & ZX9 front end conversion but I actually like the design of the original wheels, it would be great to get both ends on 17" rims for choice of rubber.
Triumph wheels from the 90's look very similar design, has anyone any experience of fitting these ?
Cheers.

A ZX9 front and rear end conversion is a great idea, handling and cornering is like driving on rails!
BTW, great looking bike!

Hi Scirocco.
I agree it looks great, but as I mentioned, I really want to use something with a similar spoke pattern as the original wheels but in a more modern size.
Yours looks fantastic.
Cheers.

I can offer you a widened rim of a GPZ1100UT with a 5.00 x 18 dimension and a 170 tire in the same design like yours.

Yes, Germany is a bit far away but a good source for Special Kawasaki parts.
