My Z1 has mags and a bunch of other modifications, including rear disc- Also, pad is not like my H2's, which is round-

On my H2 I bought the adapter to use EX500 calipers, and it works really well. As far as I know, original Z1 forks and calipers are just like the H2's. I just measured both my bikes and the Z has more distance between mounting bolts, so I think I have KZ1000 or Z1R calipers(?)
What caliper options are available? GPZ from the 80's?
Any input appreciated.

I mounted an EX500 caliper just now, but after putting the top bolt on, determined that even with an adapter for the bottom, the caliper/pads only make partial contact with the disc. Otherwise, the slot between pads fits perfectly. Looks like my discs are 300mm diameter.
There is this thread, KH500 with EX250 Ninja caliper adapted. Since the KH500 and KZ650 share the same brakes, maybe it would work for mine(?)
I'm trying to find out what his disc's diameter is:

On subsequent pages he made a nice, proper triangulated mount-

You can see the EX500 goes into the disc surface, but not enough in my opinion.
On my H2 with EX500 calipers it works, though I'd have to look again and see how much surface it reaches. I'd also have to double check the diameter of the H2's disc to compare.
I'd also have to see if the H2's adapter gets it closer into the disc. On this tryout for the 900 I put the top bolt on the EX's top hole, so I should just try taking my H2's adapter, putting it on the 900 and see what it's like-and then modify the H2 adapter to longer KZ/KH specs

I might try tomorrow to bolt the bottom one and see if an adapter can be placed on the top hole instead, and if that brings the caliper far enough into the disc area-
