Front wheel change out. was created by Flyingsince57
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHello, I have a 76 KZ750 twin with a Lester back mag and a spoke front end. I want a Lester for the front but they are as rare as a hens tooth. I would put on a Kaw mag if I knew it would fit. On ebay there is a 76 that they claim came off a 750 twin. I did not know that they made them with factory mags back then. Does anyone know if this is true and if it is so, does it just change out with the laced wheel? Any info is greatly appreciated, Here is the ebay link for the wheel and a picture of my bike if it will load. Please do not buy it out from under me:) :)

The 1976 KZ750-B came with wire wheels, so whoever is selling it is confused (at best). However, the 1980 KZ750-G1 (LTD II twin) and possibly some other year/model KZ750 twin did come with cast wheels (see link below). The question is whether or not the wheel in the eBay listing is really from a KZ750 twin since the seller posted inaccurate info regarding the year and model of the donor bike. Ed

Someone could have installed cast alloy wheels before the seller got the bike.
Are you wanting a single disk or dual disk? The EB wheel appears to be dual disk.
I would figure out what wheels can be used on the 750B, then see what's available.

I replaced the stock wheels on my 1976 KZ750 with the cast wheels off of a KZ750 H 4 cylinder. I also swapped the forks and front brakes. Pretty simple swap.

Did you just swap the forks or the triple tree as well?

I think the '76 KZ 900 came with KHI mag wheels.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

1976 KZ900A came with spoke rims.

1976 KZ900B1 (LTD) came with real Morris cast rims.

The 1977 KZ1000B1 (LTD) was the first 1000cc bike with Kawasaki factory cast rims

The cast rim pictured in first post looks like a 1980 and up KZ750/4 front to me.

To the best of my memory, I kept the original triple tree. But it was appox. 15 years ago, and I can't say with 100% certainly. Also, I used the wheels off of a KZ750 E model (19" & 18"), not the H. The forks are from a H model.

Thanks. I think the 750H Ltd Fr wheel is the same as the 750E. and some other 750-4 models as well.
