This is what I'm using to make a standing block to dress up contoured on the edge of the rims

I think just tape and no wax paper

Practice makes perfect! For my second time ever mixing bondo, cleaning the rim to get the tape to stretch and stick, I made a perfect sanding block. It just needed a little trim on the edges with a razor knife. now its off to the races!! maybe for thicker sand paper I should use duc tape maybe
