I want to put spoke wheels on my 80 kz1000 with dual disc .
I found a great deal on a single disc spoke rim. Can I drill and tap it to bolt on the rotor or is it more involved?
Still need the rear.

If it's a Kaw hub? They are all dual drilled. Take off the chrome hub and it is already drilled. Even 77-78 KZ400, KZ650, KZ750 4 hole disc hubs are all the same.
You have to have a 5/8" - 16mm bore master cylinder also when you go to dual disc

Look for an 18" rim! Or build one! I regret not doing it yrs. ago when I bought the Buchannon SS spokes. I went with 19".
That's if your going old school hot rod style. Old dragbike look.
I am partial to that style myself. I liked the old dragbikes of the 70's and still do.
This is an experiment kZ400 front fender I cut up after this picture.
I might use. Have to finish the fender 1st.

You might want to consider a complete modern super-moto front end, complete with a modern ( tubeless) spoked rim.

I put dual disk on my A4 and S/S brake lines so since every thing was rebuilt upfront I bought race tec emulators and springs. In essence, I went through the whole front end including steering stem bearings. Braided brake lines was the ticket , for a 1 finger stop. My 78 b model I cleaned up and went cheep with stock hoses and now I wished I would have spent a few bucks more. My theory now is, Do 1 do them all upgrade not down grade . the only part about both disks is getting behind them to clean without smearing up the rotors, Id think double that with spokes

I got the spoke rim and another mag for $20.
It does have a dent ,so I will need to have it fixed or a new hoop eventually.
Now what are my choices for a rear spoke rim with disc?
Need to get tires soon to go for a test ride.

A KZ900 LTD rim or any KZ1000 spoke rim will have a rear disc. You would be better with the KZ1000 disc as the 900 one is different and much harder to find parts for.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Thanks for the info.
I have been looking and there are plenty of drum brake spoke rims but finding one with a disc seems to be difficult.
Found one on flea bay but the shipping cost is more than its worth.
I would like to find a disc hub and a wider harley hoop .
I wonder if any metric cruiser bikes with spokes and disc?
