I re-upholstered mine 15 yrs. ago from a stock seat.

I usually like to save any oem parts I remove but not sure this is the correct seat.
Check out the gap between the tank and seat.

That seat looks like it was modified on the part that touches the tank. Here is my 1980 LTD with an LTD seat to show the difference.


Here is another shot...same seat but different tank...came off a '78 LTD.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Why is there a gap? Would switching to a older tank help?

It appears to me that your seat has been modified. The front part seems to be shorter.

Is that the Z1 seat you were asking about? Can you put up a photo of the seat bottom?

The part that covers the gap is only foam rubber that tucks up into the vinyl seat cover. It appears someone either modified , or used the wrong seat cover then cut the foam off. to make it fit.
