1983 kz11oo fork seal questions... was created by tthunderdan
I am changing my fork seals. I go to slide the new fork seals down the inner tube and they are not the correct size, to big around.
I got the new seals with the bike from the previous owner, so I figured he maybe just ordered the wrong seals. So I look up on partzilla to figure it out and order some new seals. The new seals I have came sealed in kawasaki genuine parts baggie with part number 92049-1295, which is the same part number listed for the 83 kz1100 on partzilla.
Now I'm confused. Do parts ever get placed in incorrect labeled baggies? Twice? Or am I wrong about the seal part number I need? And do the barely readable numbers made into the seals mean anything in reference to part numbers?
As far as I know the forks are original equipment to the bike.
I do see a set of seals on ebay with the part number 92049-1102 that claims will fit the 83 kz1100, could that be what I need?
Any input to help me figure out what seals to get would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what to suggest. 38mm seals sounds right. All Ball's makes seals. Cheap too. You may have to go aftermarket.
