I don't think the 70s KZ650s had a fork cover emblem.

The KZ650-B2, like all KZ650-B and C models (as well as some others) never came with a front fork cover emblem, so you will not find one for it. Ed

The lack of a fork emblem has come up from time to time, but I've never heard of anyone adding it. The emblem on my 81 650-CSR is mounted in conjunction with the brake pipe joint which is different than yours: the pipe joint & emblem bracket are mounted to the lower triple w 2 bolts, then the emblem is attached to the bracket. From eebbaayy pics the 650B steering stem has 2 bolt holes that appear to be similar in width to the 650-CSR. You could measure the width to see if making the improvement is within the realm of possibility.

Well, that's a first. Were you able to add an emblem bracket & keep the stock brake pipe joint, and was the bolt hole spacing the same? Thanks.

You could measure the center-to-center spacing between the brake joint mounting bolts, then go ahead & post the info here.
Adding the emblem might be pretty easy if the spacing is the same.![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)

spacing looks to be 1 13/16" center of each bolt...

Thanks. Rough measurement on the 81 650-CSR is approx. 1-13/16.
I have a spare steering stem that I measured later >> it's about 45 or 46mm which is approximately the same as 1-13/16.
There are 2 or 3 different emblem brackets for the 650-CSR models & one type is kind of flat. The others have standoffs that kind of offset the bracket away from the steering stem. This type & the 650E/F bracket are used when there isn't a brake joint. Since the 650B should have a brake joint, you'll probably want to try the flat one.
