Doubt it but you could try. Might be to "grabby".

Don't think there will be enough brake pedal travel to swing the long lever through a useful arc and still release the shoes at rest.

The short one should work fine on a stock bike.
The long one need a lot of brake pedal travel for the same brake performance!!!
The performance and travel is dependent of the actuator angle on the brake pad cam rod!!!

It can be moved forward and adjusted tight. My concern would be too much leverage causing unwanted lock up.

Rear Brake. I would install the correct brake cam lever & adjust the Rr brake according to the manual.
Brake Shoes. If you don't know the age of the brake shoes or, replace them. The adhesive that binds the linings to the shoes can fail over time, so a lining can break loose & get jammed between the shoe & drum, locking the rear wheel. It happened to me, so it does happen. I was lucky that it happened in the driveway when rolling the bike off the center stand. It would be a real drag at speed & far from home.

Found coincidentally the same fell off break pads like yours on a 81 HONDA CM400. Have to pull the rear wheel, was out of the middle in the swing arm.
(PO switched the distance collars). Safe my friends life/health.

Rear brake carnage. not mine. I don't know the cause. I believe the pics were posted here on KZR, quite a while ago.

I remember this rear break failure post.
Rear wheel brake pads fell off and block the rear brake drum so hard that all parts break off and spin around the wheel.
No thanks, don´t want think about it any more why people want to save 20 bucks on safety parts.
PS: Have to ask. Where can i find the emoticons? The new board software made me crazy, aaarrgghh
