Seat hinges

has anyone had trouble getting the seat hinges to line up on a 82' kz550 C? i can only get one to line up right, and the other is about an 8th inch off where it should be. the seat is OEM, original that came with the bike. not a huge deal because i can get one in good, but it would be nice to have cleaner set up. Thanks!

If it's off by only 1/8 inch, try loosening the hinge bolts on the pan to see if the hinges can be re-aligned. If that doesn't work, then I'd guess something is just bent. either the seat pan or a hinge.
