Right side muffler stay p/n 35011A for '82 1100 ...brake lever way too stiff

Right side muffler stay p/n 35011A for '82 1100 Spectre ...rear brake lever way too stiff. Any easy way to loosen that up? Please advise, thanks!!

Try putting some lubricant on the brake pedal shaft where it fits thru the muffler stay. If it's very bad, you might want to try a penetrating oil first, working it in by operating the brake pedal, then maybe spray some solvent to clean that out & let it dry, then apply some other lubricant after it's operating normally. You could disassemble & clean the parts, but that's a bit of work. not too bad, but harder than just applying the lube.
