Looking for a front dust cover on the hub ?``

Hello:
I am in need of a front hub dust cover. the one that holds the speedo drive adapter in place.Mine is missing.
As far as I can tell this cover holds the speedo drive adapter on the hub and then the drive assembly slides on it from the outside. the parts manual does not show this but it is all I can see as to why my speedo drive is not hooking up properly.
I have a 1978 KZ1000 A2A

here are some pics.

thank you very much.
Ron.

I don't think the dust cover holds anything in place: a dust cover is just that, a protective cover to help protect the hub from road grit.
The axle secures the speedo drive gearbox, locking it in place. It's been a while since I've had my front wheel off, but if the speedo drive isn't meshing right, you may need to spin something to manually align the receiver, gearbox & wheel. It should be a simple matter.
